DJ Pumpin’ Paul
Thursday night means a packed dance floor at when DJ Pumpin’ Paul is on the job – and he’ll be
workin’ it for the Legendary Hip Hop Party, starting at 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 at Extreme Night
Club, DuPont Highway, Dover.
Paul “DJ Pumpin’ Paul” Parrinello has been spinning since before a lot of his current patrons
were born; he got into the business in 1978.
For the general population, all those years sometimes translate into hopping off the music
culture train for good, and losing touch with current trends.
Not this guy, though.
“He knows his music inside and out,” said Extreme owner Bruce Piendl in an April, 2002
interview with the Post. “Nine times out of 10 if you ask him to play something, he knows what it
is and he has it.”
